BLACK HISTORY MONTH SPOTLIGHT - DUB - JUNGLE, DUBSTEP & DUB TECHNO SESSIONS VOL.1

Inspired from Jamaican dub reggae versions 7 inch biscuits and the clash and love for Detroit Techno, many Berlin & European underground producers as early as 1990 start producing a sound called DUB TECHNO. like Dub reggae the sub baselines and dub chords are very present but instead with a 4 X 4 Techno or even Deep House Beat Structure unlike the original Jamaican style. Building out of the Hardcore Breakbeat scene in England in the early 1990's, Jungle (or Drum & Bass) accelerated Reggae and Dub with rapid breakbeat patterns. Elements of the production techniques created by the original Dub producers can be found in many of the early Jungle recordings. DUBSTEP developed out of 2step garage, Dub and Jungle to introduce and popularize deeper sub bass sounds. It is still developing and a tremendous variety of different sub genres are appearing thousands of miles from London, the birthplace of DUBSTEP. One style combines actual DUB with DUBSTEP. Here you have three more examples of the ever expanding influence of DUB on popular music. We are inspired by the phenomenal impact of the originators of DUB! .
