The title of today's show is a bit of the english translation of the lyrics from the late TABU LEY ROCHEREAU's classic CONGOLESE RUMBA love song "Ndaya Paradis". We have also supplied the whole english translation of the song. It is obviously sung in the original Lingala.
We follow with another TABU LEY classic "MOBALI NA NGAI WANA"; one of our personal favourites. This enchanting song is sung by the unforgettable MBILIA BEL. We can't help but to mix it into the LAS CHICAS DEL CAN cover version from the Dominican Republic. Taking us to MERENGUE, we shall continue with Angolan and Congolese MERENGUE gems including the AFRICAN JAZZ classic from 1960 "Merengue Scoubidou". Again with a disco cover version! - We follow with the RYCO-JAZZ cover version of the previously mentioned AFRICAN JAZZ classic released in 1970 under the name "Marie Jose". After that we start an extended mix with still another version of "Marie Jose" from the 1993 RYCO-JAZZ album "YO LA!"
