E U R O D I S C O ___________________ Don't believe everything you hear about the 1970's from the press or the internet. This is especially true about EURODISCO. Many sources make it seem as if the whole EURODISCO sound revolved around either the CERRONE/ALEC R. COSTANDINOS/SANTA ESMERALDA sound or competitors in Germany from labels like JUPITER and HANSA MUSIK PRODUCTIONS. There was a tremendous wealth of artists releasing their own variations of EURODISCO throughout the continent. There were also artists in North and South America, Japan and South Africa also making their own EURODISCO. There is such a wide variety of EURODISCO that there is not one typical sound. Those who say that it is essentially a string influenced style seemed to have missed the electronic EURODISCO. EURODISCO never disappeared. It will probably never do so.
