Interview with Chris Ronald and Nathan Smith. East meets West as Chris Ronald and Nathan Smith join forces. Based in Vancouver, Chris has won many accolades including a nomination for 'Songwriter of the Year' at the Canadian Folk Music Awards. Based in Smith Falls, Nathan is a fiddle player in constant demand as a performer, educator and session player. Their concert feature guitar, harmonica, ukulele, fiddle and mandolin along with powerful songwriting, tight harmonies, and laugh-out-loud stories. They perform with special guest Sam Wood at Art House Cafe in Ottawa on Wed. Oct. 8 at 7 pm, Bowie's Music Club in Smiths Falls on Fri. Oct 10 at 8:30 pm, and Motel Chelsea on Sun. Oct. 12 at 4 pm.

Interview with Linda Morrison. Linda is a Montreal-based singer-songwriter and choir director known for her dynamic presence as a performer and her rich contributions to the Celtic music scene. She accompanies herself on piano and guitar. Linda speaks Gaelic and has been preserving and promoting the vibrant traditions of Celtic music through her innovative projects and collaborations. Linda will be hosting a participatory Celtic singing workshop at the same location the following afternoon, Sun. Oct. 12, from 2 to 4 pm. Immerse yourself in the enchanting world of traditional Scottish and Irish songs, sung in both English and Gaelic. Together we'll learn about fiv beautiful songs. From lively work songs and playful mouth music to heartfelt love ballads, you'll experience the rich tapestry of Celtic culture. Lyric sheets will be provided, so all you need to bring is your voice and your enthusiasm. Whether you're a seasoned singer or a curious beginner, this workshop welcomes everyone.
