They're performing in a song circle with Karen Morand (Windsor) at LIVE on Elgin this Thursday at 8:00 pm. * Kosta Mckay, drummer and backup vocalist from the the Sick Sick Sicks, in the studio to chat and perform. The band is playing at LIVE on Elgin this Wednesday at 8:00 on a bill with The Vanier Playboys. * Tom Mawhinney (Kingston) in the studio to chat and perform. He's arranging for the legendary Golden Voices Choir from Tuskeegee, Alabama to tour Canada for the first time in March, 2018. The 50-person all-Black university choir is carrying on a long tradition of singing African-American gospel songs and spirituals, many of them based on arrangements by William L. Dawson, the widely-admired composer and educator who led the choir from 1931 to 1956. The Golden Voices Choir will be in Ottawa to perform at Southminster United Church on Saturday, March 3, 2018.
