Old Man Grant is a fabulous trio that will play a free concert at Irene's Pub at 10:30 this evening as part of the Marvest fringe folk festival (www.oldmangrant.com). Sarah Beatty calls in from Hamilton to tell us about the "Girls to the Front" concert this Monday at Irene's that also features Julie Corrigan and Jill Zmud (www.sarahbeatty.ca). We also have a visit from Neville Miller, Rodney Norman and Bob Hatfield who are performing a "Mad Dogs and Englishmen" concert on Friday, Sept. 23 at Abbotsford House in the Glebe. Stephen Richer travelled from Ottawa to New York State recently as a "pilgrimage" to Pete Seeger. He gives us a report about the Peekskill area, the scene of a significant event in 1949 that involving Pete Seeger Paul Robeson.
