Today, the main, 4 to 6 inch rut that runs down the middle of my street like a drunken man will turn into a brook. I will lead it into the only sewer opening* even visible on the street, let alone open. *Why do they call them "catchment basins", the municipality people?

A really unusual year; the City never managed to catch up with the snow, and then of course, it turned to ice. Twice in a row. On my street, it's now standard to drive on one side of the street including the sidewalk, because it's actually "flat". Heck, the street ice is higher than the sidewalk ice!

I'm been lucky enough to see Manuel Gottsching perform live twice. A couple of years ago he played E2:E4 live followed by an Ash Ra Tempel style set with a full band. Previously I say him play with Klaus Schulze at Julian Cope's 2000 Cornucopea festival.
