| New Liquid Tension Experiment finds them in fine form. Nice to see Portnoy, Petrucci, and Rudess working together again, and Tony Levin keeps bringing it into his 70s.
This new Raphael Weinroth-Browne track was pre-recorded for use in a Leprous livestream (so it fits in a progressive metal set!), and he felt it holds up well enough to release on its own. Pain of Salvation headlined the first prog festival I helped organize, so there's definitely a soft spot there. We celebrate his contribution to progressive music with this rendition of MDK from the Trianon Trilogie in 2000, which features the core of maybe the best Magma lineup of them all. |
