A look at Swedish composer / multi-instrumentalist Lars Hollmer
A look at Lars Hollmer, Swedish composer and multi-instrumentalist best known for his work with the band Samla Mammas Manna, one of the 7 Rock In Opposition (RIO) bands, with his work in the group Accordion Tribe, and his many solo projects. Whether at the keyboard or on the accordion Hollmers' work was filled with whimsy, but amazingly creative, some with complexity and then others very simple beautiful melodies. Lars Gustav Gabriel Hollmer was born in Linköping Sweden 21 July 1948 and passed away in Uppsala 25 December 2008 leaving behind a large body of work, most of which are now out of print. Tonight a number of tracks focusing on his solo recordings and collaborations
