Keith Noel Emerson (2 November 1944 – 11 March 2016) Born in Todmorden, Yorkshire. Growing up Keith had no real formal musical training or owned a record player. Keith acquired his first Hammond around age 15, playing around town in Goring-by-Sea. Keith formed The Nice in 1967 leaving the Nice in 1970 to form Emerson, Lake & Palmer. Gregory Stuart "Greg" Lake (10 November 1947 – 7 December 2016) Born in Poole, Dorset Greg starting playing guitar at age 12, penning Lucky Man the same year and becoming a full time musician at 17 in a number of local bands until fellow Dorset guitarist Robert Fripp invited him to join King Crimson. Staying for 2 albums he left KC for ELP in 1970.

Emerson, Lake & Palmer - Brain Salad Surgery - Manticore
Christian Simard (1951-2016) At age 19 he was asked by fellow school-mate if he'd like to join his band after joining and touring with Les Maitres they rec'd a recording contract under their new name Morse Code Transmission recording two English-speaking albums. From 1975 to 1977 the band would then go on to record three "progressive" albums that were well rec'd.

Osanna recorded Palepoli in 1972, their third album. Palepolis was the name of the pre-Greek town of Naples, from where the band hails. Osanna continues on today as Osanna / Jackson today with "prog" dignitaries such as David Jackson (Van Der Graf), David Cross (King Crimson) and Gianni Leone ( Il Balletto di Bronzo )
