Originally out of Naples, Nova grew out of the Italian bands Osanna and Cervello w. Elio D'Anna (saxophone and flute),Danilo Rustici (guitar) and Corrado Rustici (guitar and vocals). The release of Vimana (1976) saw the addition of New Trolls Atomic System keyboardist, Renato Rosset. Vimana also had guests Mahavishnu Orchestra drummer, Narada Michael Walden, Genesis/Brand X drummer, Phil Collins and Brand X bass player, Percy Jones.
