Francophone Theatres in the South Pacific, part 1, a conversation with Alvina Ruprecht. We are very pleased to announce a new series entitled “Francophone Theatres in the South Pacific” which will feature insightful comments on her research in the region by renowned scholar and theatre critic Dr. Alvina Ruprecht, Emerita Professor of French at Carleton University and, presently, Adjunct professor in the Theatre Studies at the University of Ottawa. The first programme in this informative series about theatre set in its socio-cultural context—a triple treat for lovers of the performing arts. Sadly, when we recorded our conversation the cyclone had just begun to ravage the region.
