CKCU goes FM

CKCU celebrates it's 42 birthday on the FM dial this November 14 at midnight. Enormous energy, initiative and effort by a small, dedicated group of people was required to transform CKCU from a student station broadcasting on carrier current to the tunnels oif Carleton University, into a radio station broadcasting at 93.1 on the FM band. This 1976 recording from CKCU's archives is an imaginative but still factual telling of the station's debut on the FM dial.
