For many years, this time slot on the last Thursday of every month was devoted to the program, "Live Revolutions." Recorded, produced and hosted by Mark Valcour, the show featured a wide array of Ottawa talent. Mark was a huge influence here at CKCU-FM, on the indie music scene in Ottawa, and on Algonguin College's Radio Program and Carleton University's School of Journalism where he taught radio production. Unfortunately, Mark Valcour passed away unexpectedly a year ago today. Mike "tic" Houston and davE Aardvark join Janis Lockwood to salute our friend, Mark Valcour.

Thanks for this Janis. I know this is very emotional for you, and many others at CKCU and beyond also. I never got to meet Mark in person, but sure know his sound. Peace.
