Live Revolutions: Tribute to Mark Valcour
For many years, Mark Valour produced the program, Live Revolutions, which aired on the last Thursday of every month. Live Revolutions featured live recordings of Ottawa area bands. Mark Valcour recorded the bands and hosted the program. Unfortunately, Mark passed away in January 2015. He made a huge contribution to CKCU-FM, Carleton University's School of Journalism, Algonquin College's Broadcasting program, and was the sound engineer for just about every band in Ottawa at some point in time. He is deeply missed.
Mark left a huge archive of recordings behind. Today tic Houston and Janis Lockwood pay tribute to Mark by reviving Live Revolutions, with help from Dave Sarizan, who has been delving into Mark's archives. Live Revolutions will return on the last Thursday of November and each month thereafter.
