Today's show begins with Mamak Khadem, a multicultural Persian singer who embraces musical influences from a number of different sources. She will be performing in Ottawa this Sunday evening, more information at We also hear Beethoven's magnificent Op. 131, his 2nd last string quartet, from 1826. All 16 Beethoven string quartets will be performed at this year's Ottawa Chamber Festival running from July 26 to Aug 9. This quartet will be performed by the Afiara String Quartet on Aug 2nd. for more information.
