Andalusian Spanish and Arabic music. Continuing explorations into Pharoah Sander

I have been organizing a large vinyl collection I was entrusted with and have been listening to a lot of it this past week. This has included a gorgeous composition I was not familiar with by Spanish composer Manuel de Falla who is from Cadiz in Andalusia. His work "Nights in the Gardens of Spain" is a set of three nocturnes for piano and orchestra he composed in 1915 as a tribute to Andalusia's Hispano-Arabic past. The three nocturnes are "En el Generalife" which refers to the gardens which surround the Alhambra in Granados, the second "Danza lejana" is a dance in an anonymous garden, the third "En los jardines de la Sierra de Córdoba" refers to gardens in Cordoba. We will also here some flamenco on vinyl as well as some Algerian Andalusian music.
