Today a mix of old and new favourites including a lot of music from India and diaspora with a range from classical Hindustani from one of the greatest masters, Ustad Ali Akbar Khan to contemporary fusion from Srathy Korwar and Trilok Gurtu. Ali Akbar Khan's eldest son Aashish Khan (who turns 80 in December) will be performing tomorrow night at the Great India Festival!! It is all free at the Marion Dewar Plaza at City Hall on Laurier! I believe that Aashish Khan will be taking the stage around 8pm.

"All Sarathy, All The Time!" i say ! q;^) His latest releases are both just FANTASTIC! Stunning really, especially given 'My East Is Your West' and 'More Arriving' are only 8 months apart. JUST WOW!! Looking forward to some happy homework today. I trust there will be many surprises.

That would be amazing! Um, it would be at least a 4th. I also have 'Day To Day' (Ninja Tune, 2016). But there could be more just not very visible. Also loads of collabs. Yeah, "happy homework".
