Tribue to Remmy Ongala

Today we hear the irrepressible voice and music of Remmy Ongala, who died this past Monday aged 63. He was born in D.R. Congo in 1947 but found his voice and great success after he moved to Tanzania in 1977 where he stayed until his death. Naturally thinking of other musicians who died this year, we hear Gorecki's gorgeous and mournful 3rd string quartet. Gorecki died a month before Ongala on Nov. 12.
