ABOUT

Thanks for visiting my bio page (note to self - the profile picture works - use it for other purposes too!!). 

I am the host of Jaagte Raho (Keep Awake) and you will find me in the studio every Saturday from midnight to 2am sharing my life stories and experiences alongside playing music from the Indian Subcontinent. 

I started my journey at CKCU as a co-host on Aap Ki Farmaaish and after cutting my teeth there with the vetran host Baljit Nagpal, I ventured bravely into the dark hours of the midnight :) I also have done stand-ins on Lights Out, Lesson Hear, Loosely Connected and have shared the mic with my 8yo daughter on a few occassions. So you can see my high degree of commitment to CKCU as I am already preparing the next generation of hosts! 

I am also on the Board of CKCU as a nominated member for the 2025 term and am enjoying every conversation and consideration before the board to make CKCU more sustainable and true to its vision. I find the board and the team extremely passionate and enjoy the energy and rigour they bring to every discussion and decision. Only after joining the board did I truly understand the true essence and nature of being a community radio and feel proud to play a small role in amplifying voices from the under-represented segments and also introducing music from the Indian subcontinent to a wider audience - something only possible at CKCU.
