Kieran Cantwell-Bowditch

Spawned from the swamp waters of the Ottawa valley, the creature known as Kieran, is a musician, radio host, writer, local weirdo and lover of all things music. 

 

His broadcasting career began in 2023 with local station 93.1 CKCU FM as a host for Traffic Jammin', and creator of Notes from Underground, showcasing underground music from across Canada, emphasizing community, submissions, occasional interviews, news, and more. 

 

A long time musician, he currently operates a solo project, Hypersex Banshee, which has been variously described as noise emo, skunk grime, and "somewhere between prog and nightmare fuel". Previously, he toured with the dolphin loving "wet and mucky" hardcore band Squid Pisser, opening for bands like GWAR, Weedeater, Nekrogoblikon, The Fall of Troy, Melt Banana, and more...
