Vimy Ridge Day Ceremony
11:00 AM on Friday Apr. 9th, 2010
National War Memorial, Elgin Street

A special commemorative ceremony will be held on Friday, April 9, Vimy Ridge Day, at 11 a.m., at the National War Memorial and The Tomb of The Unknown Soldier to honour the service and sacrifice of the generation of men and women who answered the nation’s call during the First World War. With the recent passing of Mr. John “Jack” Babcock, Canada’s last known First World War Veteran, Canada has lost its first-hand witnesses of the “war to end all wars.”
