Herman Schwartz, professor of political science at the University of Virginia and a leading scholar in international political economy, is giving a talk entitled The Global Financial Crisis of 2007-2010: To Infinity and Beyond.
His speech is based on his book, Subprime Nation: American Power, Global Capital, and the Housing Bubble. Professor Schwartz will examine the links between international relations and capital flows, and will indicate why American power will not be diminished by the consequences of the housing bubble catastrophe.
