Dancer Sebastian Nicholson
Sebastian was first introduced to house music when he was very young through his mom’s love of dance music. Dancing came much later in life, as he found himself too shy to attempt the art form until 2011 where the world of K-Pop helped him break out of his shell. In 2013, he joined the K-Pop dance cover team, Kapital K-Dance. It was through this team that he officially learned about house dancing, as both of his directors were househeads and have even travelled to LA to train in this style.

He later joined Culture Shock Ottawa in 2018 where he focused less on K-Pop and more on the foundation and culture of street dance that K-pop drew their choreography from. He explored hip hop, popping, locking, punking/w*aacking, but found himself coming back to house, as the music and movement resonated with him the most. He started training in house dancing in 2021 and has learned from notable teachers such as House of Sole, Moov Ottawa, V. Love, Future, Frankie J, Diana Reyes, and more.

Besides being an active member of both the Toronto House community, he is also a member of the Toronto Kiki Ballroom community where he is in the House of Old Navy and walks Face and Pop, Dip, and Spin. He is currently enrolled in graduate studies at the University of Guelph where he studies One Welfare.
