We have returned. Shanks at McCranks music festival is back and now in our eighth year. We are proud to once again be supporting our friends at the great Parkdale Food Centre, a valuable and helpful community resource in the Hintonburg/Mechanicsville neighbourhoods.
This year’s entertainment is once again top drawer. These artists are donating their precious time, energy and talent and we are honoured they’ve agreed to perform. Please welcome to the McCranks stage: Slo’ Tom, Ball & Chain, CLEAR, Catbird and special guests from the fields of Wendover Ontario, Slim Pickins and his Mountain Bride.
Patrick ‘Shanker’ Shanks will act as emcee and perform songs on a guitar in between groups, joined by Peter Conway of McCranks Cycles.
This event as always is FREE with refreshments provided by McCranks, Ashton Brewing Co., Flora Hall Brewing, and Beyond The Pale - plus hot snacks provided by Rude Pizza Co. One hundred percent of drink sales go towards the Food Centre. Cash donation stations will be provided by McCranks Cycles.
We will have McCormick street closed off to motor vehicles. Take OC Transpo to Tunneys Station or ride your bicycle over! Music starts promptly at 2pm. Bring your lawn chairs and soft drinks, there’s plenty of shade in the playground just across the street. A family festival - dogs welcome!
