Why: To celebrate the 31st anniversary of the first Ottawa Folk Festival
Where: This is an outdoor event. Meet at the 'trolley station' near the Ron Kolbus Community Centre at Britannia Park. Theresa Kavanagh, City Councillor and former CKCU host, has kindly reserved this area for the gathering.
Who: Everyone is welcome to participate in this celebration! All ages are welcome. There is no charge to attend.
What will happen: This is a self-organized event. It's an opportunity to picnic, sing, dance, chat, party, create, paint and play, and to reminisce about the many magical moments that happened at the folk festival over the years.
What to bring: Bring a picnic, non-alcoholic beverages, seating, musical instruments, games, art supplies, folk festival memorabilia, anecdotes... and smiles!
How to get there: Parking is free. The number 85 bus goes to the community centre building. The park is located on the bike path.
Washrooms: Available in the community centre building.
Food: Bring your own, or visit the Baja Burger Shack near the beach.
