Mental Health and Addictions Services of Ottawa (MHASO), Nepean Rideau Osgoode Community Resource Centre (NROCRC) and Amy Wellings, OCDSB Trustee Candidate would like to invite you to join us for our interactive workshop.
We will spend time sharing information and resources to help you become the best advocate and support for your child in relation to youth mental health and addictions. The workshop will cover the following topics:
Recognizing the symptoms of mental health and addictions challenges in your children
The impact of mental health and addictions struggles on you child and family
How you can help your child succeed at school and how to nagivate the system
Where to find support for your child and family
Representatives from both MHSAO and NROCRC will be on hand to answer questions and provide tools for you to use when you return home to your children. You will have an opportunity to meet with and learn from other parents who are facing similar challenges, share your feedback and ideas with OCDSB Trustee Candidate for Barrhaven-Knoxdale on how we can work together to make positive change in our school board and make sure we are not leaving any child behind.
