Powered by Synapcity and Future Cities Canada, Ottawa joined the 100in1Day movement for
the first time in 2017. Synapcity is excited to bring it back for a second year this Saturday, June
2nd.
100in1Day Ottawa is part of a growing global movement that is changing how people interact
with their cities. The FREE festival provides residents with a platform to showcase their ideas
aimed to spark change in their communities and share a vision for a better city. It makes use of
a city's public spaces - parks, streets, courtyards and schoolyards for people to host activities
that raise awareness about issues, bring joy or inspiration, connect people, or support the
environment.
Themes include:
● Art/Music: Latin Dance in the Park, Propeller Dance Workshops, Sing-Along with Chris
White.
● Environment: Hug a Westboro Tree, Mud-Lake Clean-Up, Robot Missions Field Test.
● Walk/Cycle: Vanier VeloFest, Bicycle Scavenger Hunt, Carlingwood-Westboro Walk.
● Discussion: Let’s Talk Community, Sit-In for Affordable Housing, Butterfly Run Film
Night.
