Camp Parliament for Girls Ottawa 2018 is a political leadership program that introduces girls ages 9 to 15 to the parliamentary system of government. The camp will begin with a lesson on the structure and history of the Canadian Parliament. The lesson will specifically include a brief history of the Canadian Parliament, eligibility requirements to serve, a review of political parties, the structure of parliamentary elections and recognition of Canada's female political leaders. This will be followed by a study of the nations that have a parliamentary system of government in place. Camp will culminate with campers forming their own parliament to propose, debate and vote on a law. Each girl will serve as an MP. All participants earn a Certificate of Completion for participation.

The fee covers all program materials, lunch/snacks and a GIP logo t-shirt. The registration fee is non-refundable unless the organizer cancels the event.
