The artist Russell Yuristy continues to enthrall with his voracious love and inimitable depiction of nature, fish, animals and birds.

Yuristy is an internationally known print maker, painter and teacher hailing from the Western Canadian art scene, now established in Ottawa. Born in 1936, Yuristy remains enthusiastically devoted to his craft and is a prolific producer of representational art based on his keen observations of nature.

As well as the National Gallery of Canada, Yuristy's work can also be found at the Canada Council Art Bank, Mendel Art Gallery, Mackenzie Art Gallery, McDonald Corporation (Chicago) and Shaklee Corporation (San Francisco).
