A. E. Housman's poem, A Shropshire Lad, inspired a generation of composers, many of whom went to the war, sadly not to return. This Remembrance Day inspired program features settings by George Butterworth, Vaughan Williams, Ivor Gurney, and John Ireland. With tenor Isaiah Bell and host Rob Clipperton.
