The annual event invites the public inside a unique environment devoted to photographic expression and achievement. Visitors can tour the studio, labs, and darkroom and view some of the newest SPAO images produced by diploma program students and artists in residence—and meet the image-makers who inhabit the creative spaces.
There are also more interactive opportunities to be had. Visitors can take a seat in the SPAO Polaroid photo booth and purchase the resulting print for $5, while art collectors may want to take part in the special Robyn McCallum Print Raffle. A limited edition print by Ottawa native Robyn McCallum (Sacred and Profane Love by Titian, 2008, 40" x 30") will go to the raffle winner. Tickets are $10 or 3 for $20.
