The Betrayal (2008) dir by Ellen Kuras; co-dir Thavisouk Phrasavath, US : English and Lao w English subtitles. Filmed over the course of 23 years, The Betrayal (Nerakhoon) is the epic story of a family forced to emigrate from Laos after the Vietnam War. Co-director Thavisouk's emotionally gripping account describes his own survival, his escape from persecution in
Laos, his miraculous reunion with his family, their journey to America, and the second
war they had to fight in New York City. Thavisouk's indomitable mother gives incredible testimony of her single-handed efforts to raise her family of ten amidst constant danger. This outstanding collaboration is cinematographer Ellen Kuras'directorial debut, and was an Oscar® Nominee for Best Documentary in 2009.

There are two shows, at 5:30pm and 7:30pm. Reservations are possible for the
