Synopsis
Opposites attract, roles reverse and a quest for higher education turns into a journey of self discovery in the much-loved, comic tale of Educating Rita by Willy Russell. Frank is a middle-aged professor whose cynicism and disillusioned outlook on life drives him to drink. Susan, a.k.a Rita, is a free-spirited, working-class hairdresser from the wrong side of the tracks who thirsts for knowledge. When tutor and student meet after Rita enrols in an Open University course, a clash of social classes ensues. The result is a funny and heartfelt examination of life and learning. This smart, funny comedy has been an audience favorite for 30 years. Come and join the laughter.
