VERSe Ottawa celebrates its remarkable poetry community with VERSeFest, Ottawa's international poetry festival that runs every March at Knox Presbyterian Church (120 Lisgar) in the heart of downtown.
Organized to satisfy the ever-increasing audience for poetry in Ottawa and across the country, VERSeFest is being staged by a collective of 12 Ottawa poetry groups (VERSe Ottawa), representing the wide spectrum of written and spoken word—page and stage—in a series of readings, performances (including a slam competition and bilingual showcases), workshops, and discussions.
