Community-Engaged Arts Gathering
A 1 and a half day gathering that brings together artists and community partners for panel discussions and hands on workshops aimed at providing insight into project and career development in the community-engaged arts sector.
Both segments will offer informative sessions for artists emerging into the community-engaged space, for those seeking to develop a sustainable career path and for community partners to enhance knowledge of how they can facilitate and partner with artists to deliver arts programming to their communities.
The gathering will feature several local experts in the sector including Sarah Conn, Alicia Borisonik, Micheline Shoebridge and Malika Welsh with more to be announced soon! The Neighbourhood Arts Ottawa 2018-19 residency projects will be showcased, and several of the artists will be facilitating workshops throughout both days.
