Shot in Hong Kong and Vancouver, with many Ottawa locals involved in the film's writing and production, "8 Minutes Ahead" had its world premiere at the Whistler Film Festival in Dec 2017 and now comes home to Ottawa.
Filmmaker Ben Hoskyn's first feature film is Canadiana introspection and Hong Kong talkie melded into one - a tale of a family kept apart by circumstance and culture clash between the generations.
