Past-Present Place-Making
12:00 PM on Saturday Mar. 3rd, 2018
Arts Court, 2 Daly Ave.

We are excited to announce our next (un)schooling session, which will include a workshop by Sarah Gelbard, Rebecca Dolgoy and Amanda Montague on the subject of (un)learning place through embodiment and memory.

"Past-forward Place-making is a series of workshops where we collectively ask: But what about the places... of our past?...of our present? the workshop includes an exercise that is part treasure hunt and part memory adventure to (re)collect and ground our past experience of place through our bodies and senses. Collective story sharing then help us to answer the question: How can place-making help us to hold the multiple and changing meaning of place and carry the past forward with us in meaningful ways?"

Cara Tierney and Genevieve Cloutier will be offering snacks and emergent art-making during the first and last hour of the workshop!

Please note that the 2nd floor of the ArtsCourt is accessible by ramps and elevators and can be done at your own pace. We're happy to do what we can to accommodate any additional needs. Please contact Geneviève Cloutier: genevievecloutier.art@gmail.com

*(Un)school is a sensitive space that is responsive to community needs as it remains aware of and opposed to the systemic barriers that maintain social inequities.
