This show is dedicated to the legacy of Mark Valcour. I'm proud to have called him my friend. He was my favourite sound man. In tribute I present two tracks near and dear to my heart.
From 2004-2006 I played in deaf peds. While the band only played live twice (LPF '05 & '06) we practiced twice a week, every week. "Right On Beaver" is a song I wrote and sang; both rare for me. "Good Girl" written by Dave Swim (Guitar and Lead Vocals) showcases the bands strengths: wicked drumming by Jim Weiler and Dave's frenetic guitar and scorching singing. In my opinion this performance is the definitive version of the song.
Mark was behind the board for every deaf ped live set and recording. Keep in mind it is all live off the floor; Mark mixed it on the fly. Mark perfectly captured the true "sound" of the band. The errors are all ours, the fantastic recording all Mark. REST IN PEACE my friend.
