On this edition of Stranger Songs, I mark my 30th anniversary on community radio stations. It was exactly 30 years ago, on January 16, 1994, that I began hosting folk and roots music shows on community radio stations – first on CKUT in Montreal, and now, on CKCU in Ottawa. I’m marking the anniversary with a sampling of a few of the songs I played on the radio in 1994.

So many good songs. Nice to see Penny Lang amongs them. I had lost track of Penny for many years, until I was alerted to her "Ain't Life Sweet" recording and then got right back to loving her music. Miss her and Jesse and Stan and the others we've lost in the interim. Cheers!
