I came back from Japan with a deep love for J-Jazz or Club Jazz or whatever else you want to call the firey rythms of popular Japanese jazz acts like Soil & "Pimp" Sessions, their offshoot trio JAM, and others like Quasimode or Indigo Jam Unit. I started off the second season of The Major Lift with the first from Soil & "Pimp", JAM and Ottawa's own The Souljazz Orchestra.
