Can I Have A Word?
Thursday November 25th, 2021 with Bob LeDrew
BEST: Colleen Best on mental health in veterinary medicine.

Think of a vet, and you might think of getting to play with kittens and puppies, giving them their shots, keeping them healthy. But veterinary medicine can take a toll on the mental health of those who work in the field. We talk to Dr. Colleen Best, DVM, PhD, a veterinary epidemiologist and consultant, about how the profession is trying to change to improve things for the people who take care of our companion animals. CONTENT WARNING: this episode contains a brief discussion of suicide. If you are sensitive to this, perhaps try another archived episode of the show. Today's episode was so informative. Colleen Best shared so much. I hope she will consider writing a book. I would definitely buy it and read it.
