Derrick Nearing spent a couple of decades as a medic and physician's assistant in the Canadian Forces. In that time, he spent time in Rwanda, Somalia, Bosnia, and Afghanistan, helping to keep injured comrades alive. There's a human cost to that. We talk about it.
