A distinct vibe that Spontaneous Overthrow. I recall trying to explain / rationalize to someone (clearly not impressed!) why I would be into that album. It went something along the line of "after you've listened to a ton of records, it can take something like this to make your ears perk up". Don't think that was convincing, but anyway...

Hey Ben. Yeah, an odd one for sure. Agreed though, left field music catches ears faster than most things. One of my go to thoughts with new sounds I hear is if I'm confused or don't understand a song or LP, I better look into it and keep listening more.
