Lucila Al Mar - Nada es Siempre // Nothing is Forever Canadian
HOST NOTE: for Lucila's second track, Joel said the wrong title on the air! My bad. Correct title is above!

Lucila Al Mar dislikes bios but loves music. This singer/songwriter has the amazing skill of being an introverted hermit by day and captivating audiences by night. This Brujas ability to move between genres, from the gnarly defiant energy of punk rock to the lushness of folk music, into the soulful resonance of an acapella song all within the same performance will have you asking yourself wtf hit me. Her performances welcome you into the precious space of her life; they welcome you to revel in the many ways human presence can be shared, and the multitude of ways music can beautify our experience of life, death and ultimately, bring us together.

Shameless
We Were Sharks - New Low Canadian
The We Were Sharks story is one of tenacity and passion, being told with catchy vocal hooks and crunchy guitar riffs. Since 2011 these Canadians have been dedicating their lives to pumping out tunes and tearing apart highways. With a recently solidified six-man lineup We Were Sharks are poised to pop.

Based in Ottawa and collecting members from the far reaches of Eastern Canada, We Were Sharks continue to wield the full-force of Canadian alternative music. Through a penchant for blending melodic harmony with powerful dissonance they continue to produce infectious music. Even though these boys already have a lot of mileage under their belts, their book is far from written.
