NEW CANUCK MUSIC

Big Little Lions have been described as ‘a blissful marriage of new folk and sophisticated pop’. Prolific songwriting, infectious folk-pop style, and an offbeat, memorable live show. This award winning duo consists of Helen Austin and Paul Otten who, despite living thousands of miles apart, have found a way to connect and create music together. Despite being in two different countries, they have found common ground to share their message. Despite the pull to avoid the hard topics and pretend it’s all ok - they’ve chosen to speak out.

Call it destiny, or call it fate, call it a necessary progression for these modern times. Helen lives in British Columbia, Canada and Paul lives in Cincinnati, OH. But the distance provides the necessity to create in a new way. Using technology as their ally and their differences as their strength.

SUPPORTING ARTISTS, ENGAGING AUDIENCES
Ottawa Chamberfest is now offering Chamber Chats: At Home, Chez vous, hosted by celebrated broadcaster/writer Eric Friesen. Taking place on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 2pm EDT, these 45-minute interactive episodes combine chat with pre-recorded and live performances and feature guest artists and lecturers from all over the world. They provide artists with an opportunity to engage with audiences from the sanctuary of each performer and viewer’s individual homes. They also provide a vital means by which the Chamberfest community can support artists during this extended period of lost performance revenues.

Chamber Chats: At Home, Chez vous supports Ottawa Chamberfest’s vision of changing lives through music. Please help us to build this program and support artists with your donation today.

NEW OTTAWA MUSIC!

Elmsley is an instrumental acoustic duo out of the Ottawa Valley. This raw-sounding original project is made up of Jordan Hawn (Guitar) & Andrew Mulder (Bass), two musicians who have been playing in local Ottawa bands for the past 12+ years.

Their first release was a self-titled EP comprised of four songs (Eastfield, Living the Dream, On the Road, Homebound) recorded at Reverence Audio the summer of 18'. Since then, they’ve been sharing their finished material in pubs, breweries, college campuses and farmers markets across the valley. With a newly released music video done, (Shot by Shannon Hawn in Newboro, ON) Andrew and Jordan plan on playing as much music as they possibly can!

NEW CANUCK MUSIC!

A tasty new track out of Montreal! From his bandcamp:
At only 20, Zach Zoya is one of the most promising singers, rappers and authors that Montreal has to offer. Following the release of his two singles Superficial and Who Dat, Zach Zoya also gave great performances as the opening act for many artists. Multiplying collaborations with important artists and beatmakers of the Montreal Hip Hop scene, ZZ now teamed with High Klassified for an EP.
