Tonight we feature an extensive interview with Brad Merritt, the bassist for 54-40 talking about the group's 15th album West Coast Band, which was released in late 2023. Brad explains how this album grew out of online band meetings during the COVID lockdowns, a period they spent looking back at the early days of 54-40. We talk about some of the great stories behind the songs on this recording. As 54-40 is one of my favourite Canadian rock bands, we also dig into the group's deep back catalogue and play some of my favourite tracks from the group's 40 year recording career.
