Tonight we play music in memory of Riley Taylor and send condolences to his family - parents Dave Dudley (Dave's Drum Shop), Christine Taylor and his sister Shyla.

This past weekend I attended two visitations at the same funeral home. On Sunday I was there to show support for some friends on the death of their 92-year old Mother. She had lived a great and full life, so it was a celebration of her life. On Saturday I was there to show support for friends who are the parents of a 26-year old who had died as a result of opioid plague that is raging here in Canada. We are not wired to deal with the death of a child - notably our own child. This has to be the most difficult situation any person who is a parent can ever face. The show tonight features music about children (sons in particular), death and working through painful circumstances like the death of a child to somehow continue living a life with meaning and joy. I dedicate the show in memory of Riley Taylor and send it out to his family - his Father Dave Dudley, who has drummed with many artists, notably Furnaceface and runs Dave's Drum Shop; his Mother Christine Taylor; and his sister Shyla.
