Hi Steve, I do think Julian came drop another planet but he has created some wonderful music. Have you seen the 6 CD Teardrop Explodes box set?

6:30 PM, December 2nd, 2023
Steve Kirkland (host)
Hey Wally. JC and the TE have not been on my radar of late, so no, unfortunately.

6:33 PM, December 2nd, 2023
Eddy
Hey Wally, did you see Teardrop Explodes the Beacon Arms or Julian at Barrymores …..

6:44 PM, December 2nd, 2023
Wally
Hi Eddy, Yes they were amazing especially when they did the song "Great Dominions" and it hadn't been released yet so we didn't even know what it was called but it blew us away. I think my brother has pictures from that show.

I've got a theory that the Coolest People In The World listen to & Interact with The Mighty.... 'cause I read an article about Wally.... All the Hosts we know are the Coolist!! The only hole in my theory is....ah....moi!!;-) I can't even remember the words to songs!! True! I only know the C scale! I can go on...;-) Thanks for lettin' me hang out with Elite;-)!

Hey hb, I love music but have absolutely no musical talent and couldn't tell one note from another let alone know what scales are. I just remember a lot of unimportant details about the music and concerts we were fortunate to go to when Ottawa was a place where all the great bands used to come and play. It's great to hangout with you and all the other fantastic people here and learning from our teacher Steve πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘ŒπŸ‘

Steve, now you have me looking for that April Skies cover but I can't find it anywhere and you know how much I like covers.

Nash the Slash was frequently the opening act at Barrymores, nothing like a mummy playing a psychedelic violin to get the crowd warmed up ☠️

Amazing Wally, I would give a million dollars to re- live those nights, If I had a million dollars !

If Only they could figure out time travel or if we could get our hands on Dr. Who's phone booth

Steve Kirkland (host)
I never saw Nash the Slash live, not for want of opportunity as I was living in Toronto until the very early 80s... or, to be truly honest, I can't REMEMBER having seen him...

Cheers Wally. Rick has a feverish work ethic, writes and records constantly apparently... there is no shortage of great original music as well as many covers.
