hi Steve. became distracted last week, sorry. never been to the Chaud which I believe was larger than the British and both probably equally rowdy in the day. I used to go to Gilleys barn sometimes in the 80'S in the basement of the BRITISH are numerous photos of 70's looking bands like Cooper Brothers, Fist, and more. I got here after the fact in the 80's yet early enough to see Teenage Head, John Cale, Lyres, Nina Hage, Furs, and stuff. Is the Listen now on yet on the computer? I have my Sony transistor going anyways. at the Oak on Beechwood. Thanks

Hi Mike... transistor, I love that... my transistor days were AM only, can't remember if my hand-held radio had FM, which I only came to in my mid-teens... thx for the info on the Chaud... I too was an 80s arrival in Ottawa, exactly 40 summers ago, gravitated to, and joined (1983) CKCU... a lot of great music and radio in over those years

Hi, Jeb... the whole radio session is great -- more than decent sound quality, lots of offhand band member commentary, archetypal American 70s radio anouncer, etc.
